The Duarte City Council has approved the construction of a 66 unit low-income housing project on Huntington Drive, our main thoroughfare and home to the Historic Route 66. This project will drive businesses out of our city and effectively kill the dream of a downtown Duarte. I need your support to help defend the vision of a Duarte where we can live, work AND play. I need your support to defend the vision of a downtown Duarte.

Homeowners can learn how to receive up to $6,000 in rebates for energy efficiency improvements at a free Home Energy Upgrade workshop hosted by the City of Duarte and the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments on Wednesday, Sept. 28. The workshop will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the City of Duarte Community Center, 1600 Huntington Dr.

DUARTE, CA, July 18, 2011– The sweet sounds of country rock will fill the summer night at Duarte Park on Wednesday, July 27, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. as part of the popular Duarte Summer Concerts in the Park series. Fifth District Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich will sponsor the evening’s entertainment by Sean Wiggins featuring country western tunes for easy listening and dancing.
